About KaziTranslate
KaziTranslate is a Kenyan-built platform creating sustainable, remote income for skilled English-Swahili translators โ paying directly to M-Pesa, every Friday.
Our Mission
Kenya is home to millions of educated, bilingual professionals fluent in both English and Swahili โ yet many struggle to find consistent, fairly-paid digital work. KaziTranslate was built to change that.
We connect global businesses and content creators who need high-quality English-Swahili translation with talented Kenyans who can deliver it โ all from the comfort of their homes. No commute. No gatekeepers. No experience required to start.
Every job submitted on our platform is reviewed, fairly priced, and settled directly to your M-Pesa wallet every Friday. We believe language is a skill that should pay โ consistently, transparently, and without middlemen.
All work is done remotely. Log in from anywhere in Kenya โ city or village โ and start earning on your own schedule.
No bank accounts needed. Earnings land in your M-Pesa wallet every single Friday without delay or hidden fees.
We don't ask for degrees or CVs. If you can translate accurately between English and Swahili, you have what it takes to earn with us.
KaziTranslate is proudly Kenyan โ designed with the Kenyan freelancer in mind, by someone who understands the landscape firsthand.
Founder & Digital Creator
Meet the Founder
James Kamau is a Kenyan digital creator, entrepreneur, and online income educator with a passionate mission: to help everyday Kenyans earn real, sustainable money from the internet โ on their own terms.
Having navigated the Kenyan digital economy himself, James understands the barriers that prevent talented people from accessing quality online work. Too many platforms are foreign-facing, pay through inaccessible channels, or demand experience that most beginners simply don't have. KaziTranslate was his answer to that problem.
I built KaziTranslate because I kept meeting Kenyans who could speak and write beautifully in both English and Swahili โ but had no platform that recognised that skill as something worth paying for.
โ James Kamau, FounderJames has spent years building audiences and communities around digital skills, online freelancing, and the creator economy in Kenya. Through YouTube tutorials, social media content, and community workshops, he has guided thousands of Kenyans into their first online earning opportunities โ long before KaziTranslate was born.
As a certified Ajira Digital partner, James works in alignment with Kenya's national digital jobs initiative โ a government-backed programme designed to create one million digital jobs for Kenya's youth. His work with KaziTranslate sits squarely within this vision: building local digital infrastructure that pays Kenyan workers fairly and reliably.
Thousands of followers across YouTube, Facebook and social platforms focused on online income education.
Certified partner of Kenya's flagship digital employment programme, training youth in digital skills.
Pioneered M-Pesa-native freelance payouts so no translator ever needs a bank account to get paid.
Built active WhatsApp and online communities for Kenyan digital workers to support and grow together.
James's philosophy is straightforward: digital work should be accessible to anyone with a skill and a smartphone. KaziTranslate is the clearest expression of that belief โ a platform built in Kenya, by a Kenyan, for Kenyans who are ready to earn online.
